Why I built this — and why your support matters
Hi, I'm Jonty. You might know me from the Renogy for Beginners community — or you've seen me pop up at 2am troubleshooting someone's solar controller. That's basically how this tool was born.
About 18 months ago I started building my own campervan and was shocked by the lack of clear, safe, accessible technical guidance for 12V systems. I saw thousands of people in the same boat — confused, overwhelmed, and at real risk of making expensive or dangerous mistakes.
So I built DIY Off-Grid Advisor — a step-by-step smart design tool that walks anyone through a complete off-grid solar system, from energy audit right through to a professional wiring diagram. No electrical engineering degree required.
